CHILDREN PIANO COURSES.

I will show your child how to play the piano, in a simple, step by step approach that won't overwhelm them.  Lessons are one to one and are built around the fundamentals of music and piano technique. Each week your child will be set goals to achieve by their next lesson and they will be shown how to practice during the week to get the most out of their practice time.  If your child would love to play their favourite songs or pieces on the piano, or you want them to experience the world of music that will stay with them throughout their life, then contact me for more information.

Here are some common questions I get from parents about piano lessons for their children.

1. Do you take students through music exams?

Yes, if you want your child to enter for a music exam I will help them prepare for it. I also help students prepare for Music theory exams. 

​

2. What age do you start teaching children the piano?

I usually start teaching children from the ages of 7 upwards, although if your child is a little younger I can advise if they are ready to start with me.  

3. Can I sit in on my child's lesson?

Yes, absolutely. You can also wait in the seated area outside the lesson room if you feel that your child will be distracted by you being in the studio.

4. How long do lessons last?

Lessons last for either 30 minutes or 45 minutes depending on a number of factors.
